Our mission is to empower people through a partnership with horses. Cadence Center for Therapeutic Riding (Cadence) is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults, and veterans through personalized equine assisted therapy and learning programs. The Cadence staff and horses teach life skills and create smiles, self-esteem, confidence and improved physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
Cadence has created an incredible team, providing dynamic solutions through innovative, interactive equine assisted activities and programs. The experience is designed to build a foundation for personal and professional performance and growth. Drawing from over 40 years of combined experience, we have worked with veterans, individuals, families, and teams in transforming lives. We provide customized development by enhancing our clients’ success through assessment, insight and equine work.
Our Therapeutic Riding work stimulates the brain functions related to balance and control, increases muscle tone and strength, and teaches the rider self-control and to be in charge. Through our partnership with Therapeutic Experiences (TherEx), our Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning work grows the client from the inside out by addressing relationships, stress, communication, problem solving, social and emotional intelligence, and accountability. We transform the most challenging obstacles into opportunities for empowerment that lead to personal growth and the attainment of tools and skills. Our programs have proven to fast-forward growth and the mastery of life skills.

The Cadence Story
Founded by Dennis Pearce in 1995, Cadence Therapeutic Riding a non-profit 501C3, began offering equine programs for the Special Needs community. In 2005, Ron Tyner took over and expanded the program to the success it is today. Cadence expanded its therapeutic services and launched “Horses for Heroes” program for our returning Veterans in 2008.
Cadence has successfully enriched the lives of over 300 of its special riders and their families. We continue to refine and expand our personalized riding programs to ensure that each rider achieves their full potential physically and
emotionally. We create smiles and a strong sense of accomplishment.
